Carrying out exercises among participants of my SAP training sessions
is a regular part of my practice as a
SAP trainer. It has mainly been
my intention to look for effective ways to draft and carrying out those
exercises and I have therefore developed a tool which can be downloaded on this page.
Generally speaking, in
the beginning my major objectives have been to develop a tool that
operates on a quite moderate level with the following parameters:
- Layout rather simple
- Easy handling
- no database (CSV-file to be edited with Excel)
- evaluation in various categories
- executable without installation
- time fixable for countdown
- number of questions variable
- questions at random
- graphics as media in JPG or BMP
Thus the testtool had been built up which has been gradually improved
by regular field use.
- INI files for each test exercise
- encryption of questions and answers
- information of participants prior to exercise
- indication on number of correct answers (only in the
dichotomy modus)
- the encrypted test file can be deleted when the test starts
Furthermore there are INI files which incorporate definition for
respective exercise and which can be modified with any editor.
Additionally latest test tool version can read encrypted test files.
In
the very beginning I used Excel as editor but then realized
Excel´s limited capability, e.g. as importing tool. Shortly
thereafter I built up a specific CSV editor for exercise questions thus
offering a solution to the following tasks:
- defines entry in pre-determined structure
- automated renumbering of respective questions with partial
answers
- INI files can be easily worked within categories, time for
test,
number of questions for specific exercise, linking with
graphic
files.
- easy allocation of classification for specific questions
- selection of questions for export / print
- questions can be exported into new CSV files
- output of questions with or without answer in RTF or HTML
files (also available at random)
- exported CSV file can be saved with questions and answers
in encrypted format.
- statistics available for number of correct/false questions
as well as number of questions per category
- following options available: new and previous SAP check
mode (New
version: all partial questions have to be correct to qualify for bonus)
- indication on correct number of answers (only in new check
mode)
- sorting, error search
